Location from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo
The crown jewel of the kingdom — seat of royal power, recurring final dungeon, and the prison where Zelda held Calamity Ganon for a hundred years through sheer force of will.
Hyrule Castle is the most revisited location in the franchise. It has served as a peaceful seat of power, a corrupted dungeon, Ganondorf's throne room, and a prison for cosmic evil. In BotW, Link can approach it at any time — the game's nonlinear design means a skilled player can walk straight from the Great Plateau to the final boss. The castle's interior is a maze of corridors, guard chambers, libraries, dining halls, and Zelda's study — where her research notes reveal her character more than any cutscene. In TotK, it rises into the sky as Ganondorf's power breaks free from beneath.
A massive castle complex at the geographic center of Hyrule. In BotW, surrounded by corrupted Guardians and Malice, partially ruined but structurally intact. In TotK, rises into the sky during the Upheaval. Architecture varies across games but always projects royal authority and strategic fortification.
