Item from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo
The only portal between the Light World and the Twilight Realm — shattered by Midna at the end of Twilight Princess to protect both worlds, with a single falling tear.
The Mirror of Twilight is the sole physical connection between Hyrule and the Twilight Realm. Located at the Arbiter's Grounds — an ancient Gerudo Desert prison — it was used to banish criminals to the Twilight Realm. Zant used it to spread Twilight across Hyrule. At the end of Twilight Princess, after Ganondorf's defeat, Midna destroys the Mirror. She does it to protect both worlds from future exploitation, knowing it means she can never return to the Light World — can never see Link again. She sheds a single tear as the mirror shatters. It is one of the most emotionally devastating moments in the franchise.
A large circular mirror on a stone pedestal at the Arbiter's Grounds in the Gerudo Desert. When active, it projects a portal of twilight energy. When Midna destroys it, the glass shatters and the frame goes dark.
