Yunobo

Character from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo

Daruk's descendant who inherited his Protection but not his confidence — a shy Goron youth who grew into a mining CEO and then got brainwashed by a fake princess wearing a mask.

Yunobo started as the most anxious Goron on Death Mountain — terrified of monsters, unsure of himself, and clinging to Daruk's Protection like a security blanket. Link's arrival in BotW helped him find courage, and by TotK he'd channeled that growth into founding YunoboCo, a successful mining company. Then a fake Zelda put a mask on him and everything went sideways. The mask turned Yunobo greedy and arrogant, promoting addictive Marbled Rock Roast laced with Gloom to his own people. Link had to fight through the corruption and destroy the mask to restore him. The experience shattered his confidence all over again — but when he awakened as the Sage of Fire and faced the Marbled Gohma, he proved he had Daruk's spirit where it counted. Appends 'goro' to his sentences — a Goron verbal tic that's endearing even when he's being brainwashed.

Appearance

Young Goron with an adult body but visibly youthful inexperience in how he carries himself. Inherits the general Goron build but lacks Daruk's overwhelming physical presence.

Also known as: Sage of Fire, President of YunoboCo
