The self-proclaimed Top Banana of the Yiga Clan — a rotund, narcissistic, nap-obsessed leader whose boss fights escalate from comedic to genuinely threatening across two games.
Master Kohga introduces himself with escalating self-aggrandizement: 'I am the leader... of the Yiga Clan! The strong! The burly!! The one!! The only!!! MASTER KOHGA!!!' He spends most of his time napping and loafing despite commanding unwavering clan loyalty, and his boss fights are a progression from banana-themed slapstick to genuinely elaborate Zonai-powered contraptions. In BotW, his 'secret technique' backfires and he falls into a chasm. In TotK, he survived the fall and resurfaced in the Depths, building increasingly ridiculous vehicles (spike truck, fanplane with cannons, a boat) from Zonai technology. He is simultaneously the comic relief villain and a persistent threat that refuses to stay defeated.
