Link

Character from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo

The eternal Hero of Hyrule — a silent swordsman reborn across ages to stand between the world and whatever threatens to destroy it, armed with courage and very little explanation.

Link communicates almost entirely through action. He is the quietest person in any room and the most dangerous. NPCs describe him as 'cute,' 'stoic,' and 'unsettling' in roughly equal measure — Revali compared talking to him to addressing a stone. His silence is not shyness; it is the focused stillness of someone who has been fighting since before he could speak, in this life and every one before it. Beneath the silence is someone deeply compassionate. He cooks elaborate meals for friends, seeks out every lost Korok in a forest, and will drop everything to help a stranger. His courage is not the absence of fear but a bone-deep inability to walk away from someone in danger. He has died for Hyrule before. He would do it again without hesitation and probably without complaint. Every incarnation shares these traits: left-handed swordsmanship, an instinct for puzzle-solving that borders on supernatural, an unshakable moral compass, and a connection to the princess that transcends individual lifetimes.

Appearance

Youthful Hylian with vivid blue eyes, blonde hair, and the long pointed ears of his race. In most incarnations, he is depicted in either a green tunic with a green Phrygian cap, or, a blue royal tunic designed by the royal family. Athletic but lean, built for agility over raw power.

Also known as: Hero of the Wild, Hero of Time, Hero of Twilight, Hero of Winds, Hero of the Sky, Hylian Champion
