King Dorephan

Character from The Legend of Zelda by Nintendo

The massive Zora king who lost his daughter to the Calamity and welcomed the hero who freed her spirit — a father carrying grief the size of a mountain.

Dorephan rules Zora's Domain with the weight of a king who outlived his daughter. Mipha's death during the Calamity is a wound the entire domain carries, and Dorephan bears it publicly while maintaining the dignity his people need. He welcomes Link despite some Zora blaming Hylians for the Calamity, recognizing that Mipha would have wanted Link's return. In TotK, he disappears during the sludge crisis, adding his absence to Sidon's growing list of burdens.

Appearance

Enormous — the largest Zora by far, with a whale-like build that fills his throne room. Blue-grey coloring, regal bearing, crown befitting a king who rules from a domain of luminous stone.
