Character from The Last of Us by Naughty Dog
An HBO-original character — a resistance leader in Kansas City hunting Henry for betraying her brother, proving that justified anger makes the worst leaders.
Kathleen is the HBO series' addition to the Pittsburgh/Kansas City storyline — a woman who led the uprising against FEDRA and then used her militia to hunt Henry, who had informed on her brother. She represents the series' recurring theme: grief plus power equals atrocity. She is sympathetic (her brother was killed), dangerous (she controls a militia), and wrong (she's hunting a man who saved his little brother). She dies during the bloater emergence from the underground — the literal return of what she tried to bury coming back to consume her.
Small and sharp-featured with short hair and the cold intensity of someone whose grief has been converted entirely to purpose. She wears civilian clothes with authority. She doesn't look like a warlord. She acts like one.
