Location from The Kingkiller Chronicle by Patrick Rothfuss
A wealthy kingdom east of the Commonwealth, steeped in courtly intrigue and old nobility. Home to the Maer Alveron and the powerful Lackless family.
Vintas is a kingdom that runs on reputation. The court revolves around rings — rings of bone, wood, iron, silver, gold — each carrying a specific social meaning that outsiders can barely parse. A wrong ring on the wrong finger can end a friendship or start a feud. The Maer Alveron is the most powerful noble in Vintas, richer than the king and more politically astute. Kvothe traveled here seeking patronage and found himself neck-deep in court politics, poison, and the mystery of the Lackless family — whose ancient holdings and older secrets may connect to things far more dangerous than politics. The Eld forest extends into Vintas, and it was in the Vintish stretch of the Eld that Kvothe hunted bandits and stumbled into the Fae.
A kingdom of rolling hills, vineyards, and grand estates. The architecture favors stone and elegance — arched windows, walled gardens, towers that speak of old money and older pride. The roads are better maintained than the Commonwealth's, and the nobility dress as though every day were a performance.
