Lor'naris is a border town between worlds — literally between underground and surface, and culturally between Narisian and Imperial societies. It's a place of constant negotiation, where drow diplomats acclimate to sunlight and surface merchants learn to speak carefully. The settlement has the tension of any frontier town plus the additional complexity of interspecies diplomacy. It works because both sides profit from it, and it would collapse the moment the profit stopped.
A settlement built at the mouth of a cavern system, blending underground and surface architecture. Stone buildings with Narisian organic design rise alongside more conventional surface construction. A marketplace serves as the meeting point between cultures. The transition from underground lighting to sunlight is managed with shade structures and enchanted awnings.
