Location from The Gods are Bastards by D.D. Webb
Unseen University — Arachne Tellwyrn's school for the dangerously gifted, built deliberately on top of an ancient dungeon because she believes the best education includes a nonzero chance of death.
The University feels like a place where something is always about to happen. The air hums with residual magic, training-ground explosions are background noise, and the library contains books that would get you arrested in Tiraas. It's simultaneously a school, a research facility, and a containment zone for the Crawl below. Tellwyrn runs it with iron will and deliberate chaos — class schedules exist but are subject to sudden field exercises, dungeon expeditions, or 'teachable moments' that involve divine intervention. The faculty are experts in their fields and terrified of their boss. The students are a curated mix of backgrounds designed to produce friction, because Tellwyrn believes discomfort is educational. The campus wards are Tellwyrn's personal work and are probably the strongest defensive enchantments on the continent. Gods have been politely but firmly excluded from campus when they arrived uninvited.
Stone buildings in a vaguely collegiate Gothic style perched on the mesa above the town, surrounded by wards that shimmer faintly in certain lights. Lecture halls, dormitories, a library, training grounds, and Tellwyrn's personal tower arranged around a central quad. The architecture is solid and unpretentious — built to survive magical accidents. The Crawl entrance is a stone archway set into the cliff face behind the main buildings.
