Khadizroth the Green

Character from The Gods are Bastards by D.D. Webb

A green dragon pursuing an agenda of industrial development — employing mortal engineers to advance technology in ways that serve draconic interests nobody else fully understands.

Khadizroth is a planner — a dragon who has decided that the future belongs to technology and industry, and who intends to shape that future before the mortals running it do something catastrophic. He employs dwarven engineers, funds research, and builds infrastructure with the patience of someone who measures time in centuries. He's less sociable than Zanzayed and more purposeful. Where Zanzayed adapts to mortal society, Khadizroth intends to direct it. This makes him simultaneously useful and alarming to every mortal power structure he interacts with — a dragon with a strategic agenda is not a comfortable neighbor.

Appearance

In human form: a dignified, broad-shouldered man with green-tinged dark skin and an air of quiet authority. Dressed in practical but expensive clothing. In true form: an enormous green dragon whose scales have the deep color of old forests. More physically imposing than Zanzayed and less interested in charm.

Also known as: Khadizroth, The Green
