Character from The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher
Captain of the Wardens, centuries old but trapped in a young body after a necromantic body-swap — a consummate professional whose authority was undermined by magic she couldn't detect.
Luccio is the professional heart of the Wardens — the one who actually runs the organization while the Senior Council plays politics. She forged the Wardens' enchanted swords herself, until the body-swap robbed her of that ability along with centuries of muscle memory. She's pragmatic, disciplined, and deeply committed to the Council's mission despite knowing exactly how flawed the institution is. Her brief relationship with Harry was later revealed to be influenced by outside mental manipulation, which she took as a professional humiliation — not the relationship itself, but that she'd been compromised without knowing it. She commands respect through competence rather than raw power, and in a world of godlike wizards, that takes a particular kind of steel.
Appears to be in her late twenties — dark hair, olive skin, attractive in a Mediterranean way — but her eyes are centuries old. Carries herself with military precision that doesn't match the young body. Wears Warden grey when on duty. Her original body was elderly; this one was forced on her by the Corpsetaker's body-switching magic. Moves with trained grace but occasionally shows the disconnect between ancient reflexes and unfamiliar muscles.
