Fix

Character from The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher

The Summer Knight — a former changeling who earned his mantle through sheer courage and heart rather than raw power, proving that heroes come in small packages.

Fix speaks quickly and earnestly, tripping over words when excited and stumbling through situations with a sincerity that feels out of place in the scheming world of Faerie politics. He was never meant for power — he was a scared changeling, one of the little people caught between worlds, who stepped up when no one else would. That fundamental decency is both his greatest strength and his vulnerability in a Court that runs on leverage and ancient bargains. He takes his role as Summer Knight seriously, perhaps too seriously, trying to be worthy of a mantle he never expected to carry. He is loyal to the Summer Court and to Lily, protective of mortals, and deeply suspicious of the Winter Court — a suspicion that sometimes puts him at odds with Harry Dresden, whom he nonetheless respects.

Appearance

Short, wiry young man with a shock of rust-red hair and freckled skin. Not physically imposing by any measure — looks more like a college student than a faerie knight. When he draws on the Summer Knight's mantle, golden light plays across his skin and his eyes blaze with green-gold fire. Moves with quick, nervous energy that belies his surprising combat ability. Carries a bronze sword that burns with Summer fire.
