Carlos Ramirez came into the Wardens during the war with the Red Court, when the organization was so depleted they were recruiting kids. He and Harry bonded as fellow misfits in an institution that distrusted them both — Carlos for being young and brash, Harry for being Harry. His water magic is devastatingly effective and his combat instincts are sharp. He's funny, flirtatious, and carries the weight of having been a soldier since his teens with a lightness that's becoming increasingly forced. His friendship with Harry has been strained by Harry's Winter Knight status and the secrets that come with it. He's the voice of the younger generation of Wardens — loyal to the Council but increasingly aware of its failures.
