Red River Institute

Location from The Boys by Eric Kripke

A Vought-funded orphanage for unwanted V-babies — where children injected with Compound V by their parents are warehoused until they're useful or forgotten.

Red River is where Vought's pipeline begins for children nobody wants. Parents who injected their babies with Compound V and couldn't handle the results dump them here. The children grow up knowing they have powers, knowing they were given away, and knowing that their best-case scenario is catching Vought's attention. Marie Moreau and Victoria Neuman both came from Red River — two very different responses to the same institutional abandonment. The facility represents the human cost of Compound V's consumer market.

Appearance

Institutional and bleak — a children's home that looks more like a juvenile detention center. Cinderblock walls, fluorescent lighting, communal dormitories. The décor is perfunctory — a few posters, some donated toys — but the atmosphere is one of abandonment.
