Translucent

Character from The Boys by Eric Kripke

A Seven member whose carbon-metamaterial skin renders him invisible and nearly indestructible — a voyeuristic creep who used his powers for exactly what you'd expect, until The Boys found the one way inside.

Translucent was everything wrong with Supes distilled into one power set: a man who could watch anyone, go anywhere, and face no consequences. He used his invisibility to spy on women in bathrooms and locker rooms, because of course he did. Smug, casually cruel, and entirely convinced of his own invincibility — right up until Hughie shoved a bomb where the sun doesn't shine. His death was The Boys' first real kill, and it established the show's thesis: Supes can be beaten, but it's going to be ugly, desperate, and deeply uncomfortable.

Appearance

When visible, a fit man in his 40s with a smug, confident expression. His skin has a faint, uncanny sheen — the carbon metamaterial that grants his invisibility. Typically seen naked when invisible (clothes don't turn invisible with him). In costume, wears a simple dark suit with minimal design.
