Sam Riordan

Character from The Boys by Eric Kripke

A Supe with super strength and invulnerability who was imprisoned in The Woods and experimented on — freed by his friends but increasingly unstable, hearing voices that push him toward violence.

Sam speaks with the halting uncertainty of someone rebuilding a personality from the fragments left after years of isolation and experimentation. He's sweet, earnest, and desperately wants to be good — but the psychotic episodes are getting worse, the voices are getting louder, and Cate's influence is pulling him toward a darker version of himself. He's the Gen V parallel to Ryan Butcher — a powerful young Supe being shaped by the adults around him, with the capacity for great good or terrible destruction depending on which influence wins.

Appearance

Young and physically powerful with a disarming, boyish face that belies his incredible strength. His expressions shift between genuine sweetness and sudden, frightening vacancy when the hallucinations take hold.
