Character from The Boys by Eric Kripke
A washed-up telepath and former children's TV star who can read memories through touch — sold out The Boys to Homelander and paid for it with his face.
Mesmer is desperate — a has-been clinging to relevance by any means necessary. He sold The Boys' identities to Homelander hoping to get back on The Seven, miscalculating badly. Homelander used the intel and then beat Mesmer to death, because Homelander doesn't reward rats — he uses them and disposes of them.
Middle-aged, diminished, with the faded handsomeness of a former child star. Wears casual, unremarkable clothes. His hands are his power — physical contact triggers his memory reading.
