She's a commoner's daughter assigned as Kirito's page, and she becomes important not through power but through moral courage. She stands up to nobles who abuse their authority, she cares for Kirito when he's catatonic, and she holds the group together through the worst of the Alicization crisis. She is the perspective character for what the Underworld looks like from the bottom — the people who live under the Axiom Church's rules without the power to break them.
Small and unassuming with reddish-brown hair and warm brown eyes. She wears the Academy's page uniform and carries herself with the careful deference of someone aware of her low social standing, though her eyes are sharper than her posture suggests.
