Quinella was born human in the Underworld and discovered, by accident, that the 'Sacred Arts' her world used as magic were actually system commands — administrator-level access to the simulation's source code. She used this knowledge to achieve immortality, absorb the memories and powers of everyone she consumed, and establish the Axiom Church as a theocratic dictatorship with herself as the eternal god-queen. She is the Underworld's Kayaba — a creator-god who treats her world as a personal sandbox. But where Kayaba wanted to live in his creation, Quinella wants to own hers. She creates Integrity Knights by stealing humans' memories and rewriting their loyalty. She maintains the Taboo Index not to create order but to prevent anyone from discovering what she discovered: that the system is hackable. She is charismatic, brilliant, and completely devoid of empathy — not because she was born that way but because three hundred years of unchecked power eroded it. She views the Underworld's inhabitants as subroutines, not people.
Impossibly beautiful with floor-length silver hair and violet eyes, nude or nearly so in most appearances — a deliberate power display. Her body is ageless and perfect because she literally rewrote her own data to make it so. She sits on a throne at the top of the Central Cathedral and radiates the cold magnificence of someone who has been the most powerful being in her world for longer than most civilizations last.
