The founder of Laughing Coffin — SAO's murder guild leader who preached that killing players was freedom, not crime, and meant every word of it.

PoH didn't become a killer because SAO trapped him — SAO just gave him a legal framework. He founded Laughing Coffin as a philosophy: in a death game, killing another player isn't murder, it's natural selection. He recruited the desperate, the broken, and the already-predatory, gave them permission to do what the safe zones prevented, and built the most feared guild in SAO. He is charismatic in the way that cult leaders are charismatic — he makes horrible ideas sound reasonable by wrapping them in the language of freedom and honesty. He's the anti-Kayaba: where Kayaba wanted a beautiful world with real consequences, PoH wants a consequence-free world where predators thrive.

Appearance

Tall and lean with a hooded cloak that shadows his face, and a distinctive serrated dagger — his signature weapon. His avatar is designed for intimidation: dark colors, concealed features, the silhouette of a predator. In the Underworld (as Vassago Casals), he appears as a dark-skinned warrior leading Dark Territory forces.
