The Ruins

Location from Smash Bros Brawl: The Subspace Emissary by Nintendo / Masahiro Sakurai

Ancient crumbling structures deep in the wilderness — where Pokémon Trainer and Lucas face Galleom and Lucas finds his courage.

The Ruins feel old in a way that transcends the Subspace conflict. Whatever civilization built these structures is long gone, leaving only stone skeletons. The silence is broken by wind through gaps and the occasional crumble of masonry. This is where Lucas and the Pokémon Trainer face Galleom — first on the surface, then in an underground chamber. Galleom's self-destruct attempt in the underground ruins is the catalyst for Lucas's growth. The ancient setting amplifies the moment — a boy discovering his power in a place where entire civilizations have risen and fallen.

Appearance

Weathered stone ruins with broken columns, collapsed walls, and underground chambers. Vines grow through the cracks. The architecture predates anything else in the World of Trophies — these structures are ancient. Underground passages lead to larger chambers where Galleom waits. Dust floats in shafts of light that penetrate from above.
