The Forest is claustrophobic in a natural way — the trees press in, the canopy blocks the sky, and visibility is limited to whatever the filtered light reveals. Navigation is non-linear, with branching paths that reward exploration. In the post-game, Toon Link can be found here — a hidden character fighting Subspace remnants alone among the trees. The Forest rewards players who return after the main story to explore its branching paths.
