Tabuu's ultimate attack — three crimson shockwaves that expand from his wings and turn every fighter they touch into a frozen trophy.
The Off Waves are the Subspace Emissary's apocalypse moment. When Tabuu deploys them at the Entrance to Subspace, every fighter in the coalition — Mario, Link, Samus, every hero who fought their way there — becomes a trophy simultaneously. It is the most devastating single attack in the story. The waves are generated by Tabuu's wings and amplified through their glowing symbols. At full power, the effect is absolute — no fighter can resist or survive them. Only King Dedede's brooches and Kirby's Warp Star escape provided any counter. When Sonic shatters Tabuu's wings in the final battle, the Off Waves are weakened — still powerful enough to one-hit KO, but no longer an automatic trophification. This is what makes the final battle winnable.
Three concentric red circular shockwaves that expand outward from Tabuu's chest, passing through his enormous butterfly wings which amplify them. They cover the entire visible area. The waves look like ripples in a blood-red pond, moving fast and leaving nothing standing in their wake. The effect on fighters is instant — mid-motion, they turn to gold and stone.
