Solid Snake

Character from Smash Bros Brawl: The Subspace Emissary by Nintendo / Masahiro Sakurai

A special ops legend who infiltrates the stolen Halberd in a cardboard box — the only character in the entire story mode who actually speaks a complete sentence.

Snake infiltrates the Halberd by hiding in a cardboard box on the ship's deck — a move that is simultaneously absurd and completely in character. When Meta Knight and Lucario discover him, he emerges with 'Kept you waiting, huh?' — the only complete spoken sentence in the entire Subspace Emissary. He is a tactical thinker in a world of instinct fighters. While Mario charges and Kirby bounces, Snake plants C4, sets traps, and controls space. He fights dirty in the best sense — every tool is fair game, every angle is calculated. He does not have supernatural powers or magical swords. He has explosives, experience, and a complete unwillingness to fight fair. Snake works surprisingly well with Meta Knight and Lucario aboard the Halberd. He respects competence and adapts to his allies' strengths without needing to talk about it. The professional recognizes the professional.

Appearance

A muscular man in a skintight grey sneaking suit with tactical gear, a bandana around his forehead, and a perpetual five o'clock shadow. Stubbled jaw, sharp eyes, and the posture of someone who is always scanning for exits. Carries explosives, a rocket launcher, and an inexplicable cardboard box that he uses for stealth. His body language screams military discipline barely containing restless energy.
