Rank-and-file R.O.B. soldiers — mass-produced robots forced to serve as both the Subspace Army's infantry and the living triggers for its bombs.
The R.O.B. Sentries are the Ancient Minister's people — fellow robots from the Isle of the Ancients, conscripted by Tabuu into the Subspace Army. Some fight as standard infantry. Others serve a more terrible purpose: two R.O.B. units are required to activate each Subspace Bomb, and the detonation destroys them. They are simultaneously enemies and victims. The heroes fight through waves of R.O.B. Sentries, but the Ancient Minister's visible grief at each loss makes it clear these are not willing soldiers. They are enslaved machines following orders from a power that threatens their entire species. At the Subspace Bomb Factory, Ganondorf overrides their programming and forces them to activate every remaining bomb — destroying the Isle of the Ancients and nearly every R.O.B. in existence.
White and grey bipedal robots with gyroscope-shaped heads, LED eyes, and mechanical arms. Identical to each other. They march in formation with the eerie synchronization of machines following orders they cannot refuse. Some carry beam weapons; others are locked to Subspace Bombs as activation keys.
