A tiny astronaut who commands an army of even tinier plant creatures — overwhelmed by the Subspace invasion until a racing legend punches his way into the rescue.
Olimar is in over his head and knows it. He is an explorer and botanist, not a warrior. When the Subspace Army attacks, he fights back with his Pikmin — throwing them at enemies, plucking new ones from the ground, managing his tiny army with frantic precision. But he is clearly losing when Captain Falcon arrives. Once rescued, Olimar proves more capable than he looks. His Pikmin swarm enemies, each color bringing different abilities — red ones resist fire, yellow conduct electricity, purple ones hit like trucks. Olimar's skill is not personal combat but command — he orchestrates his Pikmin like a general, directing groups to different targets simultaneously. His body language throughout the story is anxious but determined. He looks up at the larger fighters with visible awe, taps his helmet nervously before big encounters, but never stops moving forward. He is the smallest hero in the coalition and he contributes by being the most resourceful.
Extremely small — roughly the size of a quarter in-universe. Wears a tan spacesuit with a red life-support light on his helmet and a clear dome visor showing a round face with a large nose. An antenna sprouts from his helmet. His Pikmin follow him in a colorful trail: red, yellow, blue, white, and purple, each the size of a thumbtack. His movements are cautious and methodical.
