Character from Smash Bros Brawl: The Subspace Emissary by Nintendo / Masahiro Sakurai
A flat, two-dimensional figure from the oldest era of gaming — unwittingly used as the source material for the entire Subspace Army, his Shadow Bugs extracted to create every Primid.
Mr. Game & Watch does not understand what has been done to him. Tabuu discovered that his two-dimensional body naturally produces Shadow Bugs — the dark particles that form the basis of the entire Primid army. He was captured, contained, and drained. Every enemy the heroes fight was made from material extracted from his body. When the heroes retake the Halberd, they find Mr. Game & Watch being used as a factory. Peach approaches the released character with kindness, and he follows her, confused but grateful. He joins the coalition without understanding the war — he does not comprehend three-dimensional conflict, or villainy, or allegiance. He simply follows the person who was kind to him. His combat style is bizarre and unpredictable — he flips sausages, sprays insecticide, rings a bell, and outputs random numbers that determine his attacks. He is chaos in a flat outline.
A completely flat, black silhouette in 2D. Moves in jerky frame-by-frame animation while every other character moves fluidly. His shape changes constantly — he might be a chef, a firefighter, a deep-sea diver — cycling through LCD game poses. No depth, no color, no detail beyond his outline. He is the most visually alien character in a roster that includes dragons and robots.
