Marth

Character from Smash Bros Brawl: The Subspace Emissary by Nintendo / Masahiro Sakurai

Altea's exiled prince — who finds himself defending a fortress alongside two swordsmen he has never met, forming the Subspace Emissary's most iconic combat trio.

Marth fights alone at the Battlefield Fortress when Meta Knight arrives — and the two swordsmen, without a word exchanged, fall into formation and begin fighting as a pair. When Ike crashes in moments later with a dramatic Aether strike, the trio is complete. It is the Subspace Emissary's most satisfying alliance because it requires no explanation. Three swordsmen see each other fight and immediately understand. Marth is the most technically refined of the three. His Falchion strikes are precise — he finds the gap in an enemy's guard and punishes it with a single clean thrust. He does not waste energy on flashy combos when one well-timed counter will end the fight. His fighting style is aristocratic but not soft — there is steel beneath the elegance. In the trio's dynamic, Marth is the tactician. Meta Knight watches from above, Ike hits hardest, and Marth reads the battle and positions himself where he is needed most.

Appearance

A young man with dark blue hair swept elegantly to one side, a golden tiara, and sharp features. Wears a navy blue tunic with a flowing blue cape and white armor plates. Wields Falchion, a slender one-handed sword with a blue jewel in the hilt. His movements are precise and graceful — he fights like a fencer, all footwork and timing. His posture is noble even in combat.
