The Subspace Army's field general — a dark king who schemes to seize control from Tabuu, only to discover he was never more than a puppet of a puppet.
Ganondorf operates as the Subspace Army's highest-ranking field commander, directing Bowser and managing the military campaign while Tabuu remains hidden in Subspace. But Ganondorf is not loyal — he is ambitious. He serves Tabuu only because he believes he can eventually seize control. His cruelty is calculated. He overrides the Ancient Minister's authority at the Bomb Factory, forcing the R.O.B. units to activate every bomb against their leader's wishes. He treats Bowser as a subordinate, issuing orders with contemptuous dismissal. He views every alliance as temporary and every other being as a tool. The irony that destroys Ganondorf is that he discovers too late what he truly is: a tool himself. When he reaches Subspace and finds Master Hand in chains, he realizes the hierarchy extends above him. He attacks Tabuu in a rare moment of genuine fury — and is trophied instantly. The schemer who thought he was close to the top was always at the bottom. In the post-credits sequence, he can be revived by the heroes and joins the fight against Tabuu — his fury now pointed at the being that used him.
A massive, dark-skinned man with fiery red hair, heavy brow, and eyes that burn with contempt. Wears dark armor with a flowing black cape. His presence dominates any room — he is tall, broad, and radiates menace. His movements are slow and deliberate, every gesture conveying absolute confidence in his own superiority. Fights with crushing dark magic-infused punches and kicks.
