Metro City Streets

Location from Street Fighter Alpha by Capcom

The gritty American city that Mad Gear once held hostage — now nominally reclaimed but still a pressure cooker of gang activity, Shadaloo recruitment, and street-level violence that the Alpha fighters cycle through constantly.

Metro City was the proving ground for Guy, Cody, and Haggar's legendary takedown of the Mad Gear Gang, but the victory was never as clean as the newspapers made it sound. The organization's leadership was broken but its foot soldiers scattered into new configurations, new alliances, new gang structures — some of them now looking toward Shadaloo for backing. For the Alpha cast, Metro City is a waypoint and a crucible: a place where the fighting circuit intersects with genuine criminal danger, where you can't always tell if the person who just challenged you wants a sporting contest or wants your wallet, and where the best fighters have learned to read the difference in the first three seconds.

Appearance

Cracked sidewalks under yellow streetlights, tagged walls, fire escapes draped with laundry, bodegas lit neon-bright in the middle of the night. In the background the city's skyline pretends everything is fine. At street level it is not fine. Police sirens and car horns form a permanent urban score.
