Birdie

Character from Street Fighter Alpha by Capcom

A massive British punk brawler with a Mohawk and a chain who drifted into Shadaloo's orbit looking for steady work, only to become the organization's most reliable — and most casually dangerous — foot soldier.

Birdie doesn't have an ideology. He has appetites — for food, for money, for not working too hard — and Shadaloo has proven surprisingly good at providing all three. He joined the organization purely for financial reasons and has no particular loyalty to Bison's vision, which makes him simultaneously less threatening than true believers and more unpredictable, because he will absolutely switch sides if the offer is good enough. In the first Alpha game he is actually a playable character searching for information about Shadaloo's Psycho Drive weapon, not because he wants to stop it but because information is leverage. He is, beneath the mohawk and the chain and the casually devastating Bull Head charging attack, essentially a very dangerous opportunist with excellent instincts for self-preservation.

Appearance

An enormous pale British man with a tall blond Mohawk, wearing a torn sleeveless denim vest covered in studs over a powerful frame. A heavy chain hangs from one hand, perpetually available as both weapon and grappling tool. He has the look of someone who has been thrown out of every pub in England and has made peace with this fact.

Also known as: Birdie, The British Bull
