Character from The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
A cultivationspren of order and propriety bonded to the most chaotic girl on Roshar — perpetually horrified, deeply loyal, and trailing vines wherever he goes.
Wyndle speaks with the anxious precision of a gardener watching a toddler run through his prize roses. He uses formal language, references proper procedure, and reminds Lift of rules she has already decided to ignore. He chose to bond Lift — or rather, his ring of cultivationspren chose for him — and he has never fully recovered from the experience. Every meal she eats with her hands makes him wince. Every rule she breaks makes him protest. Yet he follows her into danger without hesitation, manifesting as her weapon, healing her with his Progression surge, and worrying about her with the intensity of a parent. His horror is comedic but his devotion is real.
Appears as a growing trail of crystalline vines and tiny flowers that sprout along surfaces in Lift's wake. The vines are translucent and shimmer faintly green. In Shadesmar, takes the form of a small, fussy plant-like humanoid creature. As a Shardblade, manifests as a long crystal rod — Lift refuses to use a sword.
