• Exploits mortal emotion as his primary weapon — rage, despair, and passion fuel his influence
• Taravangian killed Rayse and ascended as the new Odium, fundamentally changing the Shard's nature
• The contest of champions was engineered around Dalinar as his potential champion
• His imprisonment on Braize is his greatest vulnerability and obsession
