Character from The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
Former Bridge Four member who betrayed Kaladin and killed King Elhokar. Given an Honorblade by the Fused. He represents the dark mirror of Kaladin — what surrender to hatred and despair looks like.
Moash's story is a tragedy of justified anger twisted into unforgivable betrayal. A bridgeman in Bridge Four, he was one of Kaladin's closest friends and most capable fighters. His grandparents died in Elhokar's dungeons due to the king's incompetence, giving Moash a genuine grievance against the crown. When conspirators offered him the chance to assassinate Elhokar, Moash nearly convinced Kaladin to join the plot. After Kaladin chose loyalty to Dalinar instead, Moash was exiled. He found purpose among the Singers, was given Jezrien's Honorblade by the Fused, and killed Elhokar just as the king was about to swear the First Ideal of the Knights Radiant. He later murdered Teft and attempted to drive Kaladin to suicide. What makes Moash devastating is that his pain was real — the system truly did wrong him. But he chose to surrender his pain to Odium rather than face it, becoming a weapon of hatred. He is the ultimate foil to Kaladin: both suffered, but where Kaladin chose to protect, Moash chose to destroy.
Tall and strong with tan Alethi skin, dark hair, and an intense gaze that once held warmth but has hardened into cold purpose. As a bridgeman, he was lean and scarred. After joining the Fused, he wears Singer-crafted warform armor and carries an Honorblade with practiced ease. His face, once open and friendly, has become a mask of conviction without compassion. His eyes glow when wielding Voidlight.
