Leshwi is a Fused of the Heavenly Ones — those who command the Surge of Gravitation, allowing them to fly. Unlike many Fused who have been driven mad by millennia of death and rebirth, Leshwi retains her honor, her sanity, and a code of conduct that makes her a rarity among Odium's forces. She and Kaladin develop a mutual respect through repeated aerial combat, each recognizing the other as a worthy opponent. Leshwi fights with discipline and fairness, refusing to attack noncombatants and showing mercy when it is earned. She represents the possibility that not all Singers serving Odium are irredeemable. Her loyalty to the Singer cause is genuine, but she increasingly questions whether Odium's path serves her people or merely uses them.
