El is among the most mysterious and unsettling of the Fused. Known as 'He Who Quiets,' he has somehow lost or removed the rhythms that define Singer existence — the internal music that governs their emotions and communication. This absence makes him an object of fear and revulsion among other Singers and Fused alike. He is ambitious in ways that go beyond the Singer-human conflict, viewing Odium's current war as too small in scope. El has his own vision for what Odium's forces should become, and he works to position himself to influence or replace current leadership. His goals seem to extend beyond Roshar into the wider cosmere.
A Singer form that is wrong in subtle, terrifying ways. Where other Fused have carapace that hums with rhythms, El's is silent — an absence that other Singers find profoundly disturbing. His movements are deliberate and predatory.
