Character from The Stormlight Archive by Brandon Sanderson
A cheerful Cryptic spren bonded to Wit — obsessed with humor she cannot grasp, delightfully literal, and completely unbothered by the cosmic stakes around her.
Design speaks with relentless cheerfulness and an unshakeable conviction that she is about to understand humor any moment now. She collects jokes the way a scholar collects specimens, categorizing them, dissecting them, and somehow missing the point every time while remaining enthusiastic about the process. She chose to bond Wit partly because he is the greatest storyteller in the Cosmere and partly because Cryptics find his layers of deception irresistible. She is less haunted than Pattern, more openly joyful, and treats existential threats with the same bright curiosity she applies to knock-knock jokes. Her literalism creates comedy that she does not intend, which she then tries to study, creating recursive loops of unintentional humor.
In the Physical Realm, appears as a geometric pattern similar to Pattern but with her own distinct fractal configuration — slightly more symmetrical and ornate. In Shadesmar, takes a humanoid form with a head of shifting geometric shapes. Her voice is bright and eager, lacking Pattern's buzzing quality.
