She earns the soldiers' loyalty through skill and presence, organizing the city's defense when official leadership has failed. She is actually Vivenna, a princess from Nalthis who traveled to Roshar as a Worldhopper. Her aluminum sword is an Awakened weapon similar to Nightblood but less destructive. She is searching for Zahel (Vasher) and Nightblood, pursuing a mission that connects back to events on her home world. She accompanies Kaladin's team into Shadesmar after Kholinar falls, demonstrating knowledge of the Cognitive Realm that surprises everyone. She eventually parts ways with the group to continue her own quest.
