They are normal-sized watermelons with carved faces resembling Steven's. They can walk on stubby vine legs and make cheerful, chirping sounds. They are fragile and will split open if damaged.

First created on Mask Island when Steven spat out watermelon seeds.
They are loyal to Steven and can organize into simple societies.
Some developed the ability to grow larger, warrior-like forms.
They eventually all sacrificed themselves to defeat Malachite on the beach.
