The Saint's Corpse is the engine driving everything beneath the race's surface. Valentine wants it to make America invulnerable. The Vatican wants it back. Johnny stumbles into it and discovers the parts grant Stand abilities to those they choose. Gyro doesn't care about it until it becomes inseparable from saving his condemned boy. Each body part gravitates toward a 'worthy' bearer and grants abilities or Stand awakenings. The left arm chose Johnny. The eyes went elsewhere. The heart is the final, most powerful piece. The corpse doesn't speak or think — it simply exists, and its existence warps the world around it. Wars have been fought over single pieces. Valentine's entire presidency is organized around gathering them. The corpse is simultaneously a religious relic, a weapon of mass geopolitical power, and a narrative device that forces every character to answer: what would you do with the power to reshape reality?
Individual body parts — a left arm, a spine, ribs, legs, eyes, ears, a heart — each preserved in an uncanny state of golden luminescence. The parts glow with a warm, divine light and are warm to the touch despite being millennia old. When multiple parts are assembled together, the glow intensifies. The complete corpse has never been seen assembled in living memory. Each part is discovered in different locations across the American continent, often in areas affected by the Devil's Palm phenomenon.
