Valkyrie

Character from Steel Ball Run by Hirohiko Araki

Gyro Zeppeli's horse — a spirited, strong-willed stallion as flashy and confident as his rider, with a temperament that matches Gyro's own restless energy.

Valkyrie runs the way Gyro fights — with flair, power, and bursts of brilliance. He is a more temperamental horse than Slow Dancer, requiring Gyro's confident handling to perform at his best. When Gyro is focused, Valkyrie is unstoppable. When Gyro hesitates, the horse feels it. Like Slow Dancer, Valkyrie is integral to the Spin — Gyro's Ball Breaker requires the Golden Rotation generated through horseback. The horse isn't a vehicle; it's the third component of a weapon system that includes rider, steel ball, and gallop. Valkyrie's stride is part of the technique.

Appearance

A tall, powerful stallion with a light coat and dark mane, striking in appearance the way Gyro is striking in personality. Carries himself with visible pride — head high, gait showy. Faster in short bursts than Slow Dancer but less patient over grinding distances. Decorated with Gyro's distinctive style of tack and ornamentation.
