A government-employed paleontologist whose Stand Scary Monsters turned him into a dinosaur — and whose defeat passed that power to someone far more dangerous.
Dr. Ferdinand speaks with the precise vocabulary of an academic even while turning people into velociraptors. He was recruited by Valentine's government to use his Stand ability as a weapon and ambush tool against racers carrying corpse parts. His approach is clinical — he views the transformations as specimens, the battles as experiments. His original Stand Scary Monsters allowed him to infect living things with dinosaur transformation through physical contact. After his defeat, the ability transferred permanently to Diego Brando, who proved to be its more natural wielder. Ferdinand was the scientist. Diego is the predator.
Bespectacled, intellectual-looking man with slicked hair and a lab coat that looks increasingly out of place as he transforms. In dinosaur form, he becomes a large, powerful theropod — more monstrous and less controlled than Diego's later, refined transformations. His academic demeanor persists even as his body changes, creating a deeply unsettling contrast.
