Item from Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe (Eric Barone)
An old key from the museum curator — it opens the sewers and, with them, a whole layer of the valley most residents don't know exists.
The Rusty Key is given by Gunther after donating 60 items to the museum. It unlocks the sewer grate in town, providing access to Krobus's underground home and shop. It's a key in both the literal and narrative sense — it opens the game's supernatural underground layer. The key's simplicity is part of its charm. No quest, no combat — just sustained curiosity and generosity toward the museum, rewarded with access to something hidden.
A corroded iron key with a simple design, clearly old. The metal is pitted and brown with age. Despite its appearance, it still works perfectly in the sewer grate lock.
