Marlon runs the Adventurer's Guild east of the mines. He sells weapons and boots, tracks monster kills, and serves as the gateway to the valley's combat content. He's gruff but fair — he respects anyone willing to go into the mines and doesn't coddle newcomers. He also runs the item recovery service — if you die in the mines, Marlon can retrieve one lost item. This makes him practically a saint in gameplay terms.

Appearance

Tall, imposing older man with an eyepatch over his left eye and a thick gray beard. Wears dark leather armor and carries himself with the authority of someone who's killed things larger than you. His remaining eye is sharp and assessing.
