Character from Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe (Eric Barone)
A shadow person living in the sewers beneath Pelican Town — gentle, curious, and the last proof that not all monsters are monstrous.
Krobus is a shadow person — one of the creatures that inhabit the deeper levels of the mines and the spaces beneath the valley. But unlike the shadow brutes the farmer fights underground, Krobus is peaceful. He lives in the sewers, sells rare goods, and can eventually become the farmer's roommate (not spouse — he's not human and the game respects that boundary). He's lonely, kind, and fascinated by surface life. He can't go outside during the day — sunlight hurts him. His existence raises questions the game doesn't fully answer: what are the shadow people? Why is Krobus different? What happened between his kind and the dwarves? He's one of the game's most beloved characters precisely because of this mystery and gentleness.
Small, dark, void-like body with large white eyes. Looks like a living shadow with a round shape and stubby limbs. Despite the spooky appearance, there's something inherently gentle about him — he's more stuffed animal than nightmare. The sewer is dark and damp, but his corner of it is oddly cozy.
