He sends the farmer gifts that are sometimes popcorn and sometimes bombs, which tells you everything about where his head is. He loves his family. He just doesn't know how to be in a kitchen instead of a barracks. His arc is quiet — slowly relaxing, slowly trusting peace, slowly becoming a father again instead of a soldier.
