Character from Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe (Eric Barone)
The curator of Pelican Town's museum and library — guardian of the valley's history, patiently waiting for someone to fill his empty display cases.
Gunther runs the museum-library, which starts almost completely empty. As the farmer donates artifacts and minerals found in the mines and around the valley, the museum fills up — a physical record of exploration and curiosity. Gunther rewards each donation with knowledge about what was found, connecting the farmer to the valley's deep history. He's also the keeper of the library where Penny teaches, making him a quiet facilitator of both education and preservation. The Rusty Key he gives — which unlocks the sewers and access to Krobus — is one of the game's most significant rewards.
Neatly dressed older man with glasses and a scholarly bearing. Wears a vest and bow tie. Stands behind the museum counter with the quiet patience of someone who's used to empty rooms. The museum is his domain and his burden.
