Elliott

Character from Stardew Valley by ConcernedApe (Eric Barone)

A romantic novelist living in a tiny beach cabin, chasing the perfect sentence and wondering if the valley will give him the story he came here to write.

Elliott lives in a tiny cabin on the beach and is writing a novel. He's been writing the novel for a while. The novel is not going well. He's the valley's romantic — he speaks in complete, beautiful sentences, loves the ocean with a poet's devotion, and believes in capital-L Love as a real force. He's not fake about it; he's just wired differently than most people in Pelican Town. Where others are practical, Elliott is lyrical. Where others worry about crops, Elliott worries about whether his third chapter captures the ineffable quality of longing. His vulnerability is that he's not sure he's good enough. The novel is his proof that leaving the city for the beach was the right choice, and the longer it takes, the more the doubt creeps in. He reads to Leah and Willy at the saloon. He stares at the ocean for hours. He's the kind of person who makes you believe in something just by how earnestly he believes in it himself.

Appearance

Long, flowing auburn hair that he clearly takes care of. Tall and slim with an elegant bearing that feels slightly out of place in a farming valley. Dresses in a red jacket with a ruffled collar — theatrical in a way that's endearing rather than pretentious. Expressive hands that gesture when he talks. Looks like he wandered out of a period drama.
