A mysterious dwarf merchant living deep in the mines — speaks an ancient language and sells exotic wares from a civilization most people don't know exists.

The Dwarf lives in a small cavern in the mines, accessible after breaking through a blocked passage. They sell rare items — bombs, life elixirs, mining equipment — and speak a language that requires translating four Dwarvish scrolls to understand. The Dwarf represents the mines' deeper history: an ancient civilization that predates Pelican Town, with an unresolved conflict against the shadow people (Krobus's kind). The nature of this conflict is deliberately vague, adding mythic depth to what seems like a simple farming game.

Appearance

Small, stout figure in a hooded cloak. Features are hard to make out — deliberately obscured. Sits surrounded by odd merchandise in a carved-out alcove of the mines. Speaks in symbols until the farmer learns Dwarvish.
